The Mauricio Sanchez question

One of our readers, Juan Carlos Leano, wanted to know if Mauricio Sanchez, the acrobatic goalkeeper who shared gate duties with Robert McCurdy last season, would return in 2010 to play for the Reds.  We asked Mauricio via Facebook and asked co-owner/coach Alex Silva via phone.  This is what they had to say:

Mauricio Sanchez:

“Last time Alex Silva spoke with me he said my spot was there. Itold him I am committed, so I think you should ask Alex. But for my part, I am playing.”

So we asked Alex

“He says he is committed and I think he has potential. He’s on my list of people. He came to Seattle to talk to me and he says he has made a commitment to play.”

I hope that answers, the question, Juan Carlos.
